Service Times

Holy Communion is celebrated at St.Michael's Church at 10.00am every Sunday.

The style of worship is fairly formal and traditional. The music will generally be led by organ and choir.

At the back of the church a space is available for parents to take younger children where there are some toys, books and activity sheets.

Little Saints – Sunday School

Little Saints is for school-aged children. It takes place during the 10am service at St Michael’s Church Children start with their families in the main service for the first 10 or 15 minutes before Sunday School starts in Church House (the hall behind the church). The children return to the service in time to join their families for communion.

Ladies’ Groups

Mothers’ Union – 4th Thursday of the month (7:30pm) St Michael’s Church House

Ladies’ Fellowship – Every other Tuesday in Winter and Spring (2:00pm) St Michael’s Church House

Ladies’ Breakfast – 1st Saturday of each month (8:00am) St Michael’s Church House

St Michael’s Choir

Friday evening (Juniors 7-14years 7:15pm, Adults 7:45pm) St Michael’s Church Tower Room
St Michael’s Choir leads the sung worship in Sunday morning Services (10:00am) and one Choral Evensong a month (2nd Sunday 6:30pm)

We are a traditional robed choir and sing with the organ or unaccompanied, particularly during Communion and in the Choral Evensong service. We also sing at special services throughout the year.

We are a mixed choir, and welcome all voices

We are members of the RSCM, and offer the Voice for Life Training Scheme to all members.

Other activities at St. Mary's

Busy Bees (Parents and Toddlers):

Play, play and play is our aim, along with meeting other Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Carers & Children.  We meet in term time at St. Mary’s Church & Hall every Monday (10am to 11.30am) and Wednesday (1.15pm to 2.45pm).

The cost is £1.50 per family which covers refreshments for the children (drink, fruit, bread sticks and sometimes cake when we celebrate a birthday) and adults.

Josiah’s is an after school club for children aged 5-11, which involves music, games, toast, craft, drinks, making new friends and meeting old friends, competitions, quizzes, sweets, and Jesus!

St Mary’s Music Group

Thursday evening (8:00pm) St Mary’s Church

St Mary’s Music Group leads the sung worship at St Mary’s special services.

We are a contemporary singing group, usually led by the Music Director on the piano. We always welcome new singers. Please contact us for more details.
