We also run a large Youth Cricket section with two teams in Under 15, two Under 13, two Under 11, one U10 (all girls team) and two Under 9 teams competing in the Swale Colts Cricket League. By running these teams children can play competitive cricket and learn from an early age the joys of team sports. All members of the coaching staff are ECB qualified coaches and certified to work with youngsters. We received the ECB Clubmark accreditation in 2010 which means the Club operates to a key set of core criteria and has in place good practice to ensure that we can deliver high quality community cricket in an environment that is safe, effective and child friendly. We also received ECB Focus Club accreditation in 2011 which is a geographic collaboration between the Focus Club (cricket club) and partnership schools/colleges, local community groups, businesses and sponsors. It again reaffirms we are committed to the delivery of junior development programmes and/or activities in partnership with ECB, the County Cricket Board, schools and the community through a Club Development Plan that has been approved by the County Cricket Board and is reviewed and updated on an annual basis.
