Bobbing
Bobbing lies approximately a mile north-west of Sittingbourne, forming part of its urban area and has a population of 1,694 according to the 2001 census.
The main village of Bobbing lies along what is now the old A249 with the Church, Primary School and Village Hall clustered together with a scattering of houses. The parish of Bobbing however is much more extensive and continues along the old A249 to encompass the hamlet of Howt Green which includes the only original public house currently name the Dancing Dog Saloon.
The parish also includes the Bobbing Apple, McDonalds and Premier Inn at the A249 junction just to the north of the A2 as well as a proportion of the Sonora Fields development which generated the requirement for a significant extension of the primary school in recent years.
