Lynsted
Lynsted is a village in the parish of Lynsted with Kingsdown and lies just south of the A2, mid-way between Faversham and Sittingbourne, and includes part of the old settlement of Greenstreet.
Lynsted is in many respects an archetypal old English village with church, churchyard with an ancient yew, pub (the Black Lion) and a duck pond.
Greenstreet became the name for the part of the ancient Roman road (Watling Street), now the A2, which forms the northen boundary of the parish.
