Raising money for Swale Youth Development Fund and our Community Chest (supporting a number of smaller local clubs/groups), the Rotary Club of Sittingbourne Invicta’s 10K race has grown into one of the major sporting events to take place in Sittingbourne.

This year there were 363 runners who completed the 10 kilometre course which found its way from Westlands School, through Borde, Bredgar and Tunstall before returning back to Westlands School.

Previous winner Ben Tyler from Gillingham repeated his winning run, completing the course in 33:27 minutes just shy of his previous record of 33:21 in May 2014.

Best Female was Maria Heslop from Paddock Wood who came 8th overall with a time of 37:25 minutes.

Last, but by no means least, was Claire Pennington with a time of 1:26:49 one of the 50 plus entrants from Sittingbourne Striders
