1st Milton Regis Brownies are the first of Sittingbourne Brownies to get bike safe savvy this week by attending an entry-level bike workshops for children hosted by Halfords on Sittingbourne Retail Estate.

The workshop demonstrated to the Brownies the key things to check on a bike as well as advice on how to keep safe. Emma Winfield Leader in charge of 1st Milton Regis Brownies said “the session was a perfect hands-on starting point for the Brownies to start the working on their cyclist Badge”

The Brownies helped fix loose wheel, adjust the breaks and all fixed a puncture to gain their achievement certificate. Mazie aged 8 said “it was fun to finding the hole in the tube using a bucket of water and I now help fix my friend bike who breaks are squeaking”

Brady, Halfords Bike Hut Mechanic said “workshop aims to ignite a lifelong passion and interest in cycles”.
