Carla has a spring in her step as business expands into new premises
Dance and fitness instructor Carla Hazell, who runs the highly successful Dudes & Divas Dance School was very excited yesterday to show off her new dance studio located at 7-11 High Street, above the Snooker Club.
Carla told us “I teach around 600 children a week based at a number of different locations and it seemed like the right time to take the plunge and operate all these different activities from a single premises, hence why I’ve open my new studio.”
“We can now open 5 days week from Monday to Friday and include all our classes under one roof.”
Carla, who established Dudes & Divas Dance 11 years ago, has grown the range and type of classes on offer to include Street Dance and Fitness Bootcamps with specific classes for the Under 5’s, Senior citizens, Girls only, Boys only, Ladies Fitness, Teen fitness and Special needs.
Dudes & Divas Dance also offers themed Dance birthday parties, including a ‘Frozen’ one which I can imagine being very popular. In addition to this there are School visits, workshops and you can even be tutored for your big day with ‘Shock wedding dance choreography”.
We also learnt that Carla undertakes a number of voluntary roles including work with dementia patients, although I can’t imagine how she finds the time to fit all this in.
Clearly passionate about her work, Carla was keen to emphasise why Dudes & Divas Dance was different. “I want people to have fun when they come here, it’s supposed to be enjoyable after all.”
