Children's art competition this Saturday

To add the list of St. George's Day celebrations that we have already told you about, we've just been informed that St. Michael's church in Sittingbourne High Street will be joining in with the fun.
The main feature will be a children's art competition, which attracted about 250 entries the last time it was held three years ago.
Local schools within the parish of St. Mary's and St. Michael's have been invited to take part so organisers are hoping for another large turnout this time.
The competition is open to four age groups, for school key stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. There will also be an open class for entries which can be done by visiting children on the day.
Visitors will be welcome - and able to vote for the winners in each category.
There will also be sideshows on the theme of St. George, a jewellery stall run by Demelza Hospice Care for Children and organ recitals by St. Michael's church organists Ian Payne and Nigel Macarthur.
Refreshments will be available and the church will be open between 10am and 3pm.
