Longer Hours for ArrivaClick Buses

ArrivaClick, which has been operating a smart minibus service in and around Sittingbourne, including Kent Science Park, since March this year, will be operating for extended hours from Monday 13th November.

The service will be available until 10 pm, rather than the current 7.30pm cut off, thanks to the incredible success and local support for what has been dubbed the ‘Uber of the bus world’.

The extended hours coincide with the darker winter nights and the arrival of Christmas party season, and Arriva intends for the service to help people get home safely at a reasonable cost, in an area where other transport options are limited. All journeys are tracked and recorded, adding peace of mind for the solo traveller.

To use ArrivaClick, locals have been registering with the new app, downloadable from Apple App Store or Google Play, which allows you to select pick up and drop off points, and pay with stored credit card details. The app tracks your vehicle so you know when to expect its arrival. Users are guaranteed a comfortable seat in one of Arriva’s brand new, Mercedes minibuses, plus use of Wi-Fi and charge points. Prices for journeys are quoted during the mobile app booking process, so users are in complete control, more about costs here.

Oliver Monahan, area managing director for Arriva in Kent and Surrey said: “We launched ArrivaClick as a trial back in March and we are delighted to be able to extend the hours now in time for winter and Christmas. Thanks to the Spirit of Sittingbourne transformation work, the night time economy in this area is developing. We want to support this by providing safe, easy to use and affordable transport options for local people.”
