Lucky Jasmine Crompton wins ticket to dine with the Queen
On Sunday 12th June Jasmine Crompton joined Her Majesty The Queen at the Patron’s Lunch on The Mall to help celebrate her 90th Birthday.
One of just 13 lucky Sea Cadets from across the country, Jasmine won her ticket through a competition organised by the Sea Cadets where she had to write 50 words in response to the question ‘What our Patron means to you?
Jasmine’s entry was as follows: -
“When I think of Queen Elizabeth, I see Bravery “doing here bit” during World War 2.”
“I see someone who loves her family as well as the people of Britain”
“I feel proud to see how people all over the world love and respect her”
“Queen Elizabeth is Britain’s treasure.”
This was accompanied by a photo of Jasmine in army uniform in the driving seat of a WW2 jeep.
At the once in a lifetime event Jasmine was provided with a bespoke M&S Patron’s Lunch Hamper containing homegrown British produce for a picnic style lunch and afternoon tea.
