The Forum celebrates Halloween in spook-tacular style!

The Forum Shopping Centre have just informed us that they are celebrating the half term holidays with a series of spook-tacular events in the lead up to Halloween from Monday 27th until Friday 31st October.
A very special Roman Golden Mummy replica, previously featured in Channel 5’s Golden Mummies Tomb Opening Live 2000, will also be on display throughout the week in CSI: Sittingbourne within the centre.
Archaeological experts will be on hand at the centre throughout the week to provide educational talks about the mystery and wonders of Egypt and expeditions that they have taken part in.
The full programme of events at CSI: Sittingbourne is as follows:
Monday 27th October
11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
Mummy Making Workshops. Bring any Barbie, action figure or small toy and mummify it in time for Halloween! Price - £12.00.
Tuesday 28th October
Throughout the day
Talking Tombs. Visitors to the centre will be given the chance to ask former Time Team Conservator Dana Goodburn-Brown about her archaeological expeditions.
7pm -8pm
Join Ms Luciana Carvalho, Egyptology enthusiast and final year student of the MSC in Conservation for Archaeology & Museums at UCL, as she gives a talk at Trenchers Café on the adventures of a trainee conservator in an archaeological dig in Egypt.
Wednesday 29th October
11am – 4pm
Art & Archaeology workshops. Children can make their very own Anglo-Saxon badge. Price: £1.00 &
2pm - 4pm
Mummy Making Workshops. Bring any Barbie, action figure or small toy and mummify it in time for Halloween! Price - £12.00.
Thursday 30th October
Throughout the day
Games Day. Come and see the Lyminge Anglo-Saxon Gaming piece and join The Sittingbourne Board Games Club as they run a variety of games throughout the day.
Friday 31st October:
11am until 4pm
Freaky Friday Fun. Children can make their own ‘Day of the Dead’ badge from 11am until 4pm.(£1.00)
2pm – 4pm
The Mummy Making Workshop will be open from 2pm – 4pm (£12.00) and local face painter Cherry Drop Face Painting will be on hand to transform little shoppers into mini ghouls and witches from 11am until 4pm.
There will also be a Safe Trick or Treating game where children are invited to pick up a form from CSI:Sittingbourne and hunt for posters around the centre – once they spot all ten they will receive a free treat! YAK Dance crew will be performing to spooky hits such as ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson at 1pm to entertain onlookers.
