The Forum Shopping Centre has announced plans to introduce a brand-new market and communal space in Sittingbourne – known as The Forum Market Hall.

Building upon Sittingbourne’s current regeneration programme, the shopping centre has unveiled plans for an exciting and engaging area – focussing on hosting a mix of local and artisan offerings alongside independent retailers.

Reinvigorating an empty space within the Shopping Centre, The Forum Market Hall aims to draw upon local traders with individual kiosks, communal seating and a café area with free Wi-Fi binding the space together providing natural foot-flow.

Creating a unique and diverse offering to shoppers of The Forum and beyond, The Forum Market Hall opportunity presents a simple route to trade, with minimal start-up costs, flexible licence terms and all-in weekly costs starting from just £100 per week.

The café / delicatessen space sits within the main shopping centre, with space for tables and chairs, providing an in-house seating open to the whole of the community.

This all sounds very promising and of more use to the general public than most of what is happening around them at the moment.  Those in charge of this reinvigoration should not overlook nor neglect the greatneed for public seating in the Forum or they may not get the footfall they might otherwise anticipate.
