Hoping to raise £15,000, 44-year-old Natalie Gorman who will be accompanied during parts of her walk by her 13-week-old dog named ‘Buddy’ are shortly to set out on an epic charity walk from Cromer Pier in Norfolk to Sittingbourne, Kent.
Swale Borough Council is investing £150,000 in a more proactive approach to helping rough sleepers by working with charities and voluntary groups to help identify and support them back into suitable housing.
Swale council’s cabinet have agreed in principle to upgrade the borough’s CCTV network, bring the service back under council control and look at offering free WiFi in town centres.
