Residents will be able to purchase a refurbished bicycle - on a first come first served basis - from 11 am tomorrow (26th November) at Milton Creek Country Park, Saffron Way, Sittingbourne, ME10 2EX.

Councils across Kent and Medway have released draft business cases setting out options for the most significant reorganisation of local government in the area in 50 years. Developed with KPMG, the proposals explore several ways new unitary councils could be formed.

The day began with a short service at St Michael’s Church, led by Royal British Legion chaplain Pat Tatchell. In attendance were the King’s representative, Deputy Lieutenant of Kent Richard Oldfield OBE, the Mayor of Swale Councillor Karen Watson, Chief Executive of Swale Borough Council Larissa Reed and Kevin McKenna MP.

Remembrance Sunday can be used as a day to appreciate the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces, who defended our freedoms and protected us and our way of life.

Recycling sites will once again be set up across the borough for locals to dispose of their Halloween jack-o-lanterns that don’t fit in their food waste caddies.
