Thanks to your incredible support, the Swale Community Lottery has raised £6,765 for good causes across the borough in its first year.

Thousands of people across the UK have taken part in a nationwide day of action, protesting against Labour’s proposals to allow development on parts of the green belt.

Swale Community Leisure (SCL) has launched a new support programme across its leisure centres in Swale, offering tailored guidance for customers using GLP-1 weight loss medications, such as Ozempic and Semaglutide.

The environmental services and climate change committee adopted the new Swale local cycling and walking infrastructure plan (LCWIP), which outlines the council’s ambitions for active travel, promoting cycling and walking across the borough over the next ten years, shaped by local feedback.

At the end of last year, Labour YIMBY organiser Adam Allnutt hosted a private “curry night” fundraiser in support of two pro-housebuilding Labour MPs: Kevin McKenna, representing Sittingbourne and Sheppey, and Naushabah Khan, MP for the neighbouring constituency of Gillingham and Rainham.

Swale currently has three town councils in Faversham, Queenborough and Sheerness, alongside 34 parish councils — but is it time for Sittingbourne to have its own representation?
