Sittingbourne Maritime Cadets

Home / Things to do / Navy Cadets / Sittingbourne Maritime Cadets
We are a Navy based Cadet Unit that offers a disciplined structure to training young cadets from 8 to 18 years in Drill, First Aid, Seamanship, Boating, Communications, Leadership and many more skills for life.

There is always something to interest everyone and new skills to be learnt all the time. There are ample opportunities for cadets to gain promotion through demonstrated skills and examination of knowledge gained through lectures and practical events. We also arrange the occasional visits to H. M. Royal Navy Ships and Merchant Navy vessels.

Specially trained and qualified Officers, with uniformed and civilian staff, run each Maritime Cadet Corps Unit and have a proven track record of teaching Cadets in their specialised skills to help them progress through the Corps.

The Maritime Cadet Corps need adults too! If you have been looking at helping a charitable organisation then here could lay your answer! Skilled or not we want to hear from you. We can train you to be a leader in the community. If you do have a particular skill in Engineering, Electronics, Sailing etc, or have served within the Armed or Civil Forces and feel you could pass on these skills, then the Sittingbourne Maritime Cadets could also be looking for You! If you have thought about charity or community based work, then this is an ideal opportunity to get involved in something worthwhile. You will see cadets mature and gain confidence before your very eyes. Give me a call today on 01795  or email as above.

Our unit is proudly known as TS MIDDLETON, the original name for Milton Regis, and a current Mine Counter Measure Vessel of the Royal Navy.

Why not join us

Why not join in our training nights, weekends and annual camps. Don’t let time pass you by in front of a T.V. Screen!

There is so much out there to be done whilst learning new skills at the same time as having fun, making new friends and going on to achieve more in life. Even as an Adult Instructor passing on what you learnt to a new generation of cadets.

When we meet

Call us or just drop in on a Saturday morning at Phoenix House in Central Avenue, Sittingbourne.

Every Saturday between 9:30 and 11:30.

You’ll look back in the future and be glad you did.

We charge a weekly membership fee of £2.50, however, you only pay for the weeks you attend, which we hope will be every week!
