Orchard Woodturners Home / Things to do / Woodturning / Orchard Woodturners The object of the club is the furtherence of the art and craft of woodturning and the mutual encouragement and support of its members. The club meets on the second Saturday of the month. Hands-on/open evening last Thursday of the month, with the exception of December Orchard Woodturners was founded in 1998, at Poolewood Machinery, Petts Farm, Stockbury Valley. Terry Davis, Mike Musgrave, Mike Fisher and Wolf Schulze were some of the founding members. The club grew very quickly and became known as a very friendly and atmospheric club. Visitors and new members will find a very friendly and warm welcome to our meetings which are still held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We start at 10.00 and with a break for lunch at 12.30 we finish at 16.00. There is a well equipped kitchen which provides free tea and coffee making equipment all day. There is a Public House nearby which specialises in good food, where you will meet many members having their lunch. Should you wish to join the subscription is £20.00 a year. When there is a professional demonstration the entry charge is £8 for members and £10 for non-members.
