Cake Box who specialise in 100% egg free produce, held the official grand opening of their brand-new Sittingbourne store on Saturday. Located at 52 on the High Street this is their 8th store in Kent, with others located in Ashford, Chatham, Dartford, Folkestone, Gravesend, Maidstone and Strood.

To celebrate the opening on Saturday, Cake Box offered complimentary tastings and free cupcake giveaways throughout the day.

The company began its journey in 2008 with one small store in the heart of East London and has gone from strength to strength with over 200 stores nationwide.

Its mission was to provide the UK market with a new concept; delicious fresh cream Celebration Cakes made without using eggs.  Many of the founders' family members follow a strict lacto-vegetarian diet and that is how they came up with the idea for the company.

By eliminating the egg, without compromising on taste and texture, their cakes were an instant success; and a favourite amongst many who have certain religious, dietary and/or lifestyle choices.

Cake Box offers a selection of celebration cakes, cheesecakes, cupcakes, chocolates and brownies
as well individual slices of cake.

A ‘Click and Collect’ service is available on their website, where personalised cakes can be ordered online and collected within the hour.
